Around 400 ceramic, bathroom and machinery suppliers and brands set to come together at Feria Valencia next week, with 96% of European exhibitors seeking to break into new market niches such as the contract sector.
Fair occupies more than 50,000 m2 of exhibition space including stunning designer hotel created by architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez and made entirely from ceramic tiles and bathrooms sourced from exhibitors at the fair.
Valencia, 21th February 2025.- All is set for the most thoroughly refreshed Cevisama of recent years. Spain’s prime ceramics and bathroom fair is evolving in step with the industry itself. It opens its doors next week with a new proposition as regards exhibits: a focus on the quality of ‘Made in Europe’ products and fresh approaches to attracting niche areas of business such as the contract sector.
One of the main new features this year is the fair’s commitment, in the face of unfair competition from other countries, to focusing on quality ‘Made in Europe’ products, something which has translated into an almost exclusively European offering. Cevisama will in fact be showcasing 403 companies and brands, 96% of which are European, essentially from Spain, Italy and Portugal (73%) but also from Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden and Ukraine. The remaining countries taking part are Algeria, Brazil, China, Palestine and Turkey, with exhibitors specialising in construction materials and bathrooms.
All will be showing their very latest products and innovations in ceramics, bathrooms, construction materials and machinery and technology specific to the ceramics industry, with the exhibition space taking up more than 50,000 square metres of the total available at Feria Valencia.
Whereas the focus in terms of exhibits is Europe, Cevisama nonetheless retains its appeal for international visitors, as is evidenced in the success of this year’s Spanish and International Visitor Recruitment Campaign. With a budget of almost a million euros, provided by IVACE + i Internacional and Feria Valencia itself, the Plan has recruited 700 high-level buyers to visit, including around 20% from the USA and others from major European UFEMAT-member retail groups and firms such as recent RIBA Prize winner, British architecture practice Grimshaw.
Hotel Cevisama
This is set to be a stunning Cevisama. And a major spotlight, undoubtedly, will be on the far end of Hall 3, where a huge, 800 square metre installation conceived by architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez’s practice, recreates a designer hotel dressed with ceramic tiles and equipped with bathrooms from thirty of Cevisama’s exhibitors. What ‘Hotel Cevisama’ is aiming to do is demonstrate how the versatility of ceramic tiles and bathrooms can be deployed in hotel projects.
This is not the only large installation at Cevisama: Valencia-based studio Pepe Cosín has designed a large installation that will run the length of Cevisama’s Central Boulevard, turning it into an experiential event based on earth, fire and water that connects all the exhibition halls together.
The ‘Cevisama Trends’ space, dedicated to innovation, has been set up in Hall 3, whilst the display of designs selected for this year’s edition of ‘Cevisama Talents’, a competition that recognises creativity and emerging talent in the field of both ceramic tile and bathroom equipment design, is being housed in Hall 4.
Architecture, Interior Design Forum and the DANA
A major, defining feature of Cevisama is the packed programme of talks that are part of Cevisama_LAB, and this year is no exception, with speakers including professionals such as Mexican interior designer Amparo Taylor and interior architecture firms Stone Design, Estudio Animal, El Equipo Creativo and Mil Studios.
Leading architectural practices will also be taking part, including Alfaro-Manrique, Jaime Sanahúja and Wearetodo, along with construction, property and hotel management specialists such as Inhaus, TM Grupo, GAT Gestión and Rusticae.
The recent DANA tragedy in the province of Valencia is also being given a spot in the Forum, with a session on Tuesday 25th addressing the housing emergency and the damage sustained by buildings. Speakers include Paiporta’s municipal architect.
The Jornadas EXCO, organised by the Universitat Politècnica de València are an integral part of Cevisama. Taking place on 26th to 28th February, the sessions will focus on international projects in Chile, Ecuador, China, Italy, Dubai, Poland and Germany.
Stone Gallery and ceramic tile installers
As well as ceramics and bathrooms, Cevisama also features specialised areas such as the ‘Stone Gallery’, where a total of twelve marble and natural stone suppliers from the Comunitat Valenciana will be exhibiting as a group, supported by Ivace + i Internacional and the Mármol de Alicante (Alicante Marble) association.
Ceramic tile installation professionals also get their own space, in Hall 4, which is again hosting the Encuentro de Colocadores de PROALSO (Proalso Tile Installers Congress), showcasing the latest tile installation techniques. This year, 2025, there will also be a session, focused on installing ceramic tiles, for students from all over Spain on Ciclos Formativos de Grado Medio (vocational training courses) specialising in Interior Works, Decorating and Renovation.
Addressing other aspects of construction another notable, and traditional, item on Cevisama’s programme of events is the ‘Día del Ladrillo’ (‘Brick Day’), during which the sector, as the ‘Gremi de Rajolers’ (‘Bricklayers Union’) and trade association Hispalyt, will be showing the benefits of their products, especially as regards fire and climate change.
Awards and Competitions
The winners of various competitions that add prestige to the industry will also be announced during Cevisama. First up are the Alfa de Oro award winners, who will receive their prizes, bestowed by the Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio SECV (Spanish Ceramic and Glass Makers Association) next Monday afternoon. This year prizes will also be awarded, by the Colegio de Diseñadores de Interior de la Comunitat Valenciana CDICV (Comunidad Valenciana College of Interior Designers), to the best stand interior design on show at Cevisama.
In a new move this year, the Premios a la Distribución (Retailer Awards) will be handed to their winners at a Gala dinner on 25th February at the Museo Príncipe Felipe in the Ciutat de les Artes i les Ciències de València (City of Arts and Sciences). The event is set to be a quite a party for the industry!
Cevisama in real time
Every aspect of the fair will be relayed in real time via social media channels by seven influencers, who will keep their million-and-a-half-plus followers up to date about everything going on and new products on show at Feria Valencia’s ceramics and bathroom fair between 24th and 28th February. These digital content creators will give fresh, creative and expert views on the trends in interior design, construction and renovation, with the aim not just of promoting Cevisama 2025 and encouraging professionals to visit, but also of helping improve the positioning of exhibitors and the products they show at the fair.

Excepting any last-minute changes, the official opening of Cevisama 2025 will be at 10.30 next Monday in the Foro Centro. The fair will be open to visitors from 09.00-18.00 Tuesday to Thursday and 09.00-15.00 on Friday.
