The Project

CEVISAMA HOTEL

The architecture of this project must respond to historical evolution and current challenges, creating spaces that go beyond functionality, economy, and aesthetics. It should stimulate the senses and embrace the human being in their entirety, both physically and spiritually. Architecture must be conceived as emotion and experience, structuring spaces that not only promote habitability but also generate feelings and emotions that awaken all our senses.

Hotel Cevisama will be an iconic space with a distinctive visual identity that will make it stand out, offering an attractive and cohesive environment that embodies the essence of Cevisama 2025. Designed as a vibrant meeting point, it will host high-level events and talks, including expert presentations, trend showcases, and hands-on workshops.

The project will feature multifunctional and flexible spaces, such as an outdoor area with a pool, relaxation zones, bars, and a palm grove, designed to accommodate various activities—from exhibitions to conferences—maximizing its versatility. Additionally, it will include an innovative entrance integrating a hall, two hotel suites, and a reception area, redefining the hospitality experience at the event.

Hotel Cevisama celebrates European ceramics as a symbol of respect for our roots, our environment, and our people. By choosing this timeless material as the “secret ingredient,” we offer our guests an invisible element that, although unseen, imbues every space with its essence. Rooted in the fundamental elements—water, air, earth, and fire—the design resonates with the history and craftsmanship that have made ceramics a unique cultural legacy. Through spectacular spatial sequences, we invite visitors on a sensory journey connecting past and future, East and West, tradition and innovation. Here, history becomes a bridge linking nations and opening opportunities for the future through technology. From our construction practices to the smallest details of decoration, every aspect of the hotel is based on a profound respect for people and the environment.

By adopting emerging architectural practices, our hotel takes a holistic approach to addressing today’s environmental challenges. We explore eco-friendly materials, reconsider construction methods, and use fewer resources, incorporating principles of climate justice and reintroducing nature as a guide. In every corner, we seek to recapture the ethical and aesthetic principles that make architecture an essential art for improving our lives, protecting both our physical and mental health. Inspired by the principles of Pedro Gadanho’s book Cambio Climáximo!, this space serves as an architectural reflection on how climate change is transforming the way we build and inhabit spaces. Our hotel is not only a haven of comfort and aesthetics but also a statement on how architecture must adapt in this era of ecological urgency for the well-being of all.

“Roots of the Earth”: An Oasis that Nourishes Body and Soul

Roots of the Earth is a sanctuary where nature and hospitality merge in perfect harmony, offering a sensory experience that nourishes both body and spirit. Inspired by the fundamental elements of earth, water, fire, and air, this boutique hotel redefines luxury as a return to essence and authenticity, guided by respect for our roots and the environment around us. European ceramics, our “secret ingredient,” permeate every space in the hotel with their rich heritage and deep connection to the earth. This timeless material, filled with history, not only enhances the space but also provides an intangible warmth that invites contemplation and rest. Roots of the Earth offers its guests a journey that bridges past and future, uniting East and West, tradition and innovation.

Hotel Cevisama is envisioned as an architectural landmark of great impact, where formal innovation and material integration take center stage. Its design will combine bold geometries with ceramic and textile volumes, achieving a balance between solidity and lightness. This approach will allow for an interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the visual expressiveness of the ensemble.

The main tower will stand out for its transparency and use of natural light, creating a striking contrast with the ceramic volumes. This dialogue between materials will create a sense of lightness and dynamism, with large openings that flood the interiors with light while establishing a seamless connection between inside and outside.

Beyond challenging architectural conventions, the design aspires to become a symbol of the event, merging aesthetics, functionality, and spatial narrative to offer a unique and memorable experience.
