Javier Jiménez, Studio Animal

Studio Animal is a design studio based in Madrid and Barcelona, specializing in interior design and ephemeral architecture projects. It is led by Javier Jiménez Iniesta, who graduated in architecture from the School of Architecture of Alicante. He combines his professional activity with teaching and academic research. He currently leads the Master’s in Creative Retail Direction at the European Institute of Design and is a visiting professor at the Elisava School of Design.

Studio Animal focuses on the development of proposals related to ultra-contemporary thinking and its relationship with the environment in which we live. The redefinition of spaces and environments inhabited by the contemporary subject is the backbone of their work; in search of a super-optimistic future for the potential inhabitants of their architectural designs.

The studio has been awarded several prizes, including the recently won Frame Awards 2024.

Leyre Ortuño y Juan Luis Medina, MIL Studios

In 2011, Naroa Quirós and Juan Luis Medina combined their concerns, experience, and vision to found the design and interior architecture studio MIL Studios. Today, with a team of over 20 professionals, they lead innovative projects in hospitality, corporate housing, flexliving, workplace, residential, and public spaces.

Based in Madrid with international reach, at MIL, they transform their clients’ ideas into unique and timeless spaces. They design interiors that are both aesthetic and functional, creating a unique language for each project. Their designs stem from rigor, precision, and careful planning, thoroughly exploring identities and iconographic languages to ensure comprehensive solutions that represent the essence of each space.

Natali Canas, El Equipo Creativo

Founded in 2011 by architects Oliver Franz Schmidt, Natali Canas del Pozo, and Lucas Echeveste Lacy, El Equipo Creativo is a renowned interior architecture and design studio based in Barcelona, specializing in the design of hospitality, gastronomy, and brand spaces. Their philosophy is centered on the idea that spatial design should tell captivating stories and inspire people, always grounded in a solid conceptual approach.

They have collaborated with some of the world’s most prestigious chefs, including Michelin-starred restaurants, solidifying their expertise in the sector. Their work has garnered worldwide recognition, with articles in hundreds of publications globally. They have received over 70 international design awards, including prestigious honors such as the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, the FRAME Awards, and the BOY Awards, all of which are known for celebrating innovative and conceptual design.

They have also been honored for their career and methodology as Best Interior Design Firm (Architizer A+Awards), Best Interior Practice of the Year (WIN Awards), and Studio of the Year (The American Architecture Prize). Additionally, FRAME magazine recognized them as one of the 20 most influential designers in the world.

Jaime Sanahuja

Jaime is an architect from the Higher School of Architecture of Valencia (ETSAV). He began his professional career in 1983 in Castellón. He is the director of the architecture studio sanahuja&partners and has combined his professional activity since 2006 with his teaching role as an associate professor in the Department of Architectural Projects at ETSAV, as well as his research work in Spanish Modern Architecture. He has been a speaker at various international universities and technical forums related to rehabilitation. Some of his most notable works include collaborations with Carlos Ferrater at IMPIVA and the Castellón Conference Center. He is an enthusiastic and constant entrepreneur of new professional and personal challenges.
