Cevisama has launched a call for entries for the Trans/Hitos 2019 Show. The competition to be part of the architecture and design show, organised jointly by Cevisama, the Institute for Ceramic Tile Technology and Ascer, is open to architects and technical architects, interior designers, landscape architects and designers, amongst others, who are invited to create a display in which ceramic is the most prominent component. The winning entry will be included in next year’s Trans-hitos, an exhibit that is staged every year as part of Cevisama to show the different possible uses and applications for ceramic as a material.
The competition is open to all persons, entities and institutions, be they individuals or teams, providing they fulfil the conditions set out in the rules and regulations that govern the competition.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Ceramic should be a central component of the design of the space, the features of which shall be as follows:
1.- It should be a completely new project/design
2.- It should be original and visually striking, as well as technically viable
3.- It should make use of ceramic floor and/or wall tiles made by Spanish manufacturers and of the type represented by Ascer, the Spanish Association of Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile Manufacturers.
4.- The minimum dimensions of the space should be 4m long x 4m wide x 3m high
5.- The cost of the materials, the construction, build-up and breakdown of the space must not exceed 19.000 euros.
A technical committee nominated by Cevisama will check that entries fulfil the required terms and conditions set out in the rules and regulations.
The winning design will be built and installed in Feria Valencia’s central atrium (Trans-hitos Space) and will stand over the period the International Cevisama Fair 2019 is open, 28th January – 1st February 2019.
