The CEVISAMA ON webinar is set to be broadcast on 25th and 26th of this month via Cevisama’s various digital platforms, featuring interviews with industry leaders and talks about architecture, design and trends.
The programme also includes events taking place during Cevisama, such as the awarding of the Castellón Government Prize for Innovation in Ceramic Products, Ascer’s Ceramic in Architecture and Interior Design Awards, and the live relay of the Alfa de Oro Award ceremony on 26th May.
Valencia, 4th May 2021.- On 25th and 26th May, CEVISAMA will be delivering a series of industry-centred lectures titled CEVISAMA ON. Broadcast online, the lectures are being given by leading representatives of the industry along with professionals from the fields of design, architecture and innovation. The speakers will be addressing the main current and future challenges facing the businesses that make up the ceramic cluster and the bathroom furnishings sector.
The CEVISAMA ON webinar will be streamed via Cevisama’s various digital platforms – a novel move from the ceramic tile industry’s trade fair, which is scheduled to take place from 7th to 11th February 2022 at Feria Valencia. It means that, despite having been forced by the pandemic to cancel this year’s edition of the fair, Cevisama will remain active throughout the year, working on an initiative that is a response to current demand for education and information, delivered in a flexible, dynamic, open format – webinars – that are free of charge to attend.
Lecture programme
The programme of interviews and lectures that will be steamed over the two days of CEVISAMA ON, between 10.00 and 18.00, has almost been finalized.
On Tuesday 25th May, after the welcome address from Cevisama president Manuel Rubert, who will be accompanied by the fair’s director, Carmen Álvarez, the day’s programme will begin with a lecture on trends in ceramic tiles by Lutzía Ortiz and Ana Benavente, of the Observatory for Trends in Interiors at the ITC. The industry itself takes to the stage next in an interview with ASCER president, Vicente Nomdedeu, which will be followed by a discussion between architects José María Sánchez and Izaskun Chinchilla.
The programme continues with the afternoon session, which features talks with CDICV (the Comunidad Valenciana Guild of Interior Designers) members Tono Lledó and Mariano Bueno. Two interviews are set to be broadcast after the talks, with Javier Andrés, vicepresident of ASEBAN, and Juan Vicente Bono, president of ASEBEC.
The day will conclude at around 6pm with the award ceremony for theDiputación de Castellón (Castellón Regional Government) Prize for Innovation in Ceramic Products.
The following day, 26th May, begins at 10am with the award ceremony for the Ceramic in Architecture and Interior Design Prizes that are handed out every year by trade association ASCER.
The next event on the programme is a discussion between Ana Illueca, director of ADN Cerámico, and Corinna Heilmann, director of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022 programme, who will review the various initiatives that are being rolled out in connection with this project.
The morning sessions will close with a talk about the challenges of digitalization in the industry, by ANDIMAC general secretary Sebastián Molinero. The afternoon session features and interview with Joaquín Font de Mora, president of ANFFECC. The CEVISAMA ON programme will finish with what is one of the ceramic trade fair’s main events every year: the presentation of the Alfa de Oro awards, which are given out every year by the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society. After the ceremony, Cevisama president Manuel Rubert will formally bring the symposium to a close.
