We couldn’t think of a better way to start off 2017! RODI was a winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned and one of the most prestigious design prize.
Once again, the lucky winner was VISION kitchen sink that already gathers several awards in this field: A ‘Design Award 2016, German Design Award 2017 and now the iF Design Award 2017.
VISION won over the 58-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, in a tough competition – over 5500 entries were submitted, from 59 countries, in the hope of receiving the seal of quality.
VISION
VISION is a set of 2 pieces that complement each other: a sink and a glass cover/board.
The welded minimalist sink of symmetrical and clean design is made of 18/10 brushed stainless steel and featured with an 1100x525mm external measure, a 400x400x200mm bowl of 12mm radius and a 510x450x30mm drainer. Yet it is complemented with a rectangular valve and a rectangular overflow, exclusively designed by RODI.
We added 50mm in height at the upper zone of the bowl increasing the working area and allowing the worktop to remain cleaner, since it reduces the probability of splashes to occur. In addition, it also permits the concealment of the tap.
The bowl and the drainer are also characterized by a multifunctional 10mm support edge where you can sustain several kitchen accessories or where you can lay the cover/board. This edge allows a greater depth – overall we have a 260mm depth area.
The cover/board has a stylish appearance of 507x473mm, made of 6mm thick tempered safety glass, with a silver finishing. The versatility of the sink is enhanced by the fact of allowing the cover/board to be applied on top of the bowl or on top of the drainer – you can use it to cover the sink or as a chopping board.
